Workshop scholarships

Two scholarships are available for VTMHCA training events. The scholarships cover the full cost of a workshop registration and are available to any current VTMHCA member. The scholarships are named to honor some amazing people who have contributed so much of their time and energy to the success of our organization. 

Caryn Feinberg scholarship - Caryn is viewed as the "mother" of VTMHCA. She started the organization back in the day and kept it going for many years. She served as executive director as well as many other roles. Without her dedication and generosity with her time and energy, VTMHCA would not exist. 

Barbara Nielsen scholarship - Barbara has been a long-standing member of VTMHCA. In her long tenure with the organization, she has held all the leadership roles possible (president, treasurer, secretary, various committee positions, and executive director.) She has generously given to the success of VTMHCA.

Scholarships will be awarded by the vote of the events committee. In order to apply for a scholarship, you will need to submit a short essay, creative art piece, short video, etc. that conveys your interest in the topic of the workshop. The cutoff for submissions to be considered is 14 calendar days before the start of the workshop. Please submit your submissions to the executive director via email, using "scholarship application" in the subject line or via US Mail (just make sure you mail them out in time for them to be received before the 14-day cutoff date).
